The Maison Chloe was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian-born Parisienne who wanted to liberate women’s bodies from the stiffy formal fashion of the time through a luxury ready-to-wear offering. Since the inception, the Maison has entrusted a succession of emerging talents to support and carry-on Chloe’s mission. Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Hanna MacGibbon, Natacha Ramsay-Levi, and now Gabriela Hearst.

The new Chloé Eyewear seasonal range interprets the brand’s codes of relaxed beauty and modern femininity while continuing to utilise lower-impact and environmentally conscious materials. The outcome: timeless refinement expressed meaningfully. From subtle profiles to bold oversize contours, each frame exemplifies the brand’s precise construction and artisan flair, as lightweight metal and sophisticated textures are complemented with luminous gradient shades. The remarkable West designs are tailored with warm Havana shades enhanced with bright gold-tone metal accents. With Chloé’s couture aesthetic bridging retro and the contemporary, the Vitto sunglass and optical frames unveil sophisticated enamel edges that create an artistic ceramic effect similar to the jewellery collections. Chloé’s joyful personality emerges through the Milane frame with a folding heart shape. All styles feature the Chloé signature drop-shaped opening compatible with the eyewear chains.

The new Chloé Spring-Summer 2023 Eyewear Collection, designed under the creative direction of Gabriel a Hearst, comprises a sophisticated range of sunglasses and optical frames that fully align with the Maison’s goal of creating beautiful products with a meaningful impact. The season’s breakthrough main innovation, the new Gayia line, reaffirms Chloé’s commitment to using regenerated materials. The Gayia sunglasses are entirely made of Reace, a 100% recycled acetate derived from pre -consumer acetate scraps, with the aim of using what already exists while simultaneously maintaining an elevated sense of style and craftsmanship. The Gayia frames come in a range of styles including vintage square, round, aviator and oversized square shapes. Black and Havana coloured frames will run consistently throughout the eyewear collections, while unique seasonal colour blends feature natural and earthy tones such as vegetal green, crystal brown and bl ush nude. Every design is engraved with the Gayia founding principle on the inside of the temple alongside the colour name and its limited edition numbering, which makes it very unique. Its packaging is fashioned from bond ed leather composed of upto 52% recycled materials to reflect the spirit of the Gayia range.
